Hello! It’s my final Kitty Bee Designs Spotlight for this year and I’ve created a quick Christmas card using the cute Mistletoe Present Panda Digital Stamp. This is a relatively straightforward make that can be put together in a single crafting session.

I started by printing the Mistletoe Present Panda Digital Stamp on XPress-it blending card and colored the present, holly and mistletoe with Sharpie Ultra Fine Tip Markers. I also added a little grey shadowing to the Panda itself. I added a little dimension to the eyes and nose with a Clear Sakura Glaze pen and allowed it to dry before die cutting the image out with a cross stitched circle die.

Next, I die cut a piece of red checked patterned paper with another cross stitched die and a larger green striped piece of cardstock using Sue Wilson’s Noble Pierced Rectangle Dies, ready to layer onto my card. I then die cut a few more elements to add to my card. I cut a snowflake edging, using Hero Arts Snowflake Edge Fancy die and a small tag using a stitched rectangle die. I heat embossed a simple sentiment, using Lawn Fawn’s Reveal Wheel Holiday Sentiments stamp set and green Wow Superfine Embossing Powder onto the tag, ready to add to my card.

I then cut three bow die cuts, using the Marianne Design Creatable Bow and Ribbon die. This single die also cuts the ribbon piece that’s attached to the bow however, using the entire die cut places the bow off centre and I wanted my bow in the middle of my card. To work around this, I trimmed the ribbon strips from each of my die cut bows and stacked the three bows together for dimension, gluing them together with Ranger Multi Medium Matte Adhesive. I also cut a thin strip of white cardstock to replace the ribbons I had discarded from the die cuts.

To assemble the card, I glued my circle to the upper section of my red piece and added the snowflake strip to the bottom and behind the red panel. I then added drops of Ranger Multi Medium Matte Adhesive behind both the panel and the snowflake strip so I could attach these to my green striped layer. Once they were attached and dry, I added my white ribbon strip and folded the ends of it and the snowflake strip behind the green striped panel. This just gave the white pieces a neat finish. I glued the entire green striped paper to my 5″×7″ card base with more Multi Medium Matte Adhesive and added the stacked bow and the tag to finish off the piece.

I decided the plain white card looked a little bland so I carefully went over all the white pieces, including the snowflake strip with a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Sparkle Pen, just for a little bit of a glittery effect. I really think just that little bit of sparkle made all the difference to the whole design!

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, a Happy Holiday Season and a safe and happy start to the new year. Thanks so much for spending time with me today. I look forward to next time…😊
