Hello! Another Creative Fingers Challenge has just started with Tindaloo as our sponsor. I’ve created a cute slimline card, using the cheeky Jingle Elf image.

I started by downloading a free Christmas tree image I found online and overlaid the Jingle Elf image. I then printed the compilation onto X-Press It blending card. I also added a simple sentiment before printing, placing it below the image so it would end up as part of the front layer when it came to die cutting the panel after it was coloured. I then coloured the image with my Chameleon pens.

For the background, I coloured a piece of white cardstock with distress inks and used my DIY metallic cardstock technique to give it a shimmery finish. Once dry, I die cut the piece using The Ton’s Slimline Dot Coverplate Die.

To make the front panel fit easily, I fussy cut across the top section of the image, leaving a small white border and die cut the lower section with an appropriately sized die from The Ton’s Pierced Nested Die Set. I cut a custom sized slimline card base so the slimline die cuts would fit perfectly and added the layers directly onto the card base just using white glue.

Don’t forget to stop by the Creative Fingers Challenge! Thanks for spending time with me today, I look forward to next time! 😊
