Hello! Another Creative Fingers Challenge is underway with the awesome Bugaboo as our sponsor.

Life has been pretty hectic lately so I decided to make a digital background for the Stella Birthday Fireman Call digital stamp I was using for my inspiration. I downloaded a hanging plaque, floor boards and two fire clip art images from cleanpng and added them quickly to a digital background from The Hungry Jpeg using Photoshop, adding the Stella image and the matching sentiment when I was finished arranging my digital downloads.

I saved the image as a jpeg file and moved it across to the free Avery printing program, where I added a yellow and a brown border before printing it out on some alcohol ink friendly cardstock using a laser printer. I then simply coloured Stella with my Chameleon Pens, adding some extra shading with the matching Chameleon pencils.

Once I’d finished the colouring, I die cut the piece using a stitched die slightly smaller than a 5″×7″ card base. I glued the card front onto the card using liquid PVA and laid it under something heavy until it was fully dry.

This was a really quick make and, as I plan to send it overseas, the card’s digital composition and light weight will allow me to easily send it for minimal postage. I think this design also shows that sometimes digital cardmaking can be just as creative as a card we spend hours making the individual elements for. If I had extra time on my hands this week, I could have printed an extra copy and fussy cut some of layers but, sadly, time just wasn’t on my side and this card needed to be done. I’m still happy with the design and the humorous tone and I think it suits anyone needing more than 21 candles on their cake, LOL! Thanks so much for spending time with me today, I look forward to next time.😊
