Hello! Another Creative Fingers Challenge is underway and my inspiration is perfect for this Easter weekend.

I decided to create a masculine and a feminine card using just the one stamp set. The masculine card has been made with autumnal tones, perfect for a southern hemisphere Easter while the feminine card has more of a spring theme, suitable for the northern hemisphere celebrations.

My Autumn Themed Card

For my masculine card, I used the Pink and Main Hoppy Easter stamp set, stamped in Memento dye ink and coloured it with Chameleon Pens. I then chose two digital patterned papers from the Autumn Plaids Digital Paper Pack. I cropped two different papers down to the desired sizes in Photoshop before loading them into this free software program. Once loaded into that program, I added brown borders to each paper, created a small brown sentiment word and created a block of solid brown so I could also print out a piece of matching solid brown colour as well. This allowed me to cut my extras from a perfectly matching piece of card without worrying about the brown areas being visibly different from each other.

I trimmed the patterned papers down an edged them with an espresso truffle  Memento marker to disguise the white edges of the cardstock. I then added them directly onto a 5″×7″ card base. I then die cut a strip of brown, my stamped image and a brown matting layer to complete the main section of my card, using acid free liquid PVA to glue everything securely into place.

I then turned my attention to my sentiment. I die cut the “Easter” sentiment with a small pierced rectangle die and the two “happy” layers from the Hunkydory Be Happy Sentiments Die Set. I glued the two “happy” layers together and glued all the centre pieces into place.

I finished the card off with several small brown punched dots as faux brads, topping them with drops of Ranger Glossy Accents for dimension. As I refrained from using foam tape for my layers, the card slipped easily into an envelope for standard postage.

My Spring Themed Card

For my second card, I started in the same way. I again used the Pink and Main Hoppy Easter stamp set, stamped in Memento dye ink and coloured it with Chameleon Pens. I also stamped the Hoppy Easter greeting, ready or die cutting.

I then used the Creative Expressions Atlantic Ocean Collection Bermuda Die Set to cut my image and a frame from the white card. I traced around the dies I used and fussy cut them from purple cardstock so they would have a small border around the edges of the white die cuts. I also die cut the sentiment with a fishtail sentiment die and again traced around the die on purple card so I could fussy cut the matting layer. I glued all the layers together and set them aside while I completed the rest of the card.

For the rest of the card, I cut layers from purple and white card using a 5″×7″ stitched rectangle nesting die set and added the purple layer directly onto my card base. I then ran the white stitched layer through the Creative Expressions Paisley Daisy Embossing Folder before finishing off by gluing all my pieces onto the card.

I hope you all have a restful and healthy Easter holiday period. Don’t forget to stop by the Creative Fingers Challenge to do an entry!

Thanks so much for spending time with me today, I look forward to next time! 😊
