Hello! It’s time for another Creative Fingers Challenge and my inspiration uses two cute Bugaboo images in the one design.
Most of the design was done on the computer. I carefully aligned the Snowman Peeker and the Santa Clause Peeker images so they looked like they were peeking around the same corner. I digitally removed the background and cropped a piece of digital patterned designer paper to add it behind the Peekers. I finished the digital design by adding both these pieces onto a red background and printed it onto X-Press It blending card.
Once printed, I coloured the Snowman Peeker and Santa Clause Peeker with my Chameleon alcohol markers, adding shading with the Chameleon Fineliners and a wet brush. I finished off the panel with several spots of white gel pen on the red background. I then trimmed the panel down to 4.5″×6.5″, matted it onto a 4.75×6.75″ piece of black card and glued both onto a 5″×7″ card base.
To give the card a little more interest, I cut multiple holly leaves, holly berries and a bow from coloured textured cardstock, using Cottage Cutz Holly and Bow Die Set, arranging and securing each into the top left corner. I also printed a simple sentiment and die cut it, and a red matting layer, using the Stampin Up Stitched Nested Labels die set. I glued both pieces together, added them to the card with some foam tape and finished off the tag with a few extra holly leaves and berries. Once everything was in place, I added drops of red Ranger Enamel Accents to the berries to give them a glossy finish and allowed it all to dry.
I love how this card came together exactly as I had envisaged, such a pleasant change! Thanks so much for spending time with me today, I look forward to next time! 😊
