Hello! Christmas is just days away now and for Chalk n Stock’s final challenge for 2017, I’ve created a card with Bugaboo’s cute little moose.

This card is a fairly simply make, technique wise, with only some basic techniques used. I began by printing the Bugaboo Moose onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, to color with my Chameleon Pens. I also printed several papers from the Huckleberry Hearts Cosy Christmas digital paper pack to use in my design.

Once the Moose image was colored, I die cut it out with a generic stitched edge rectangle die. I then cut a piece of red stars card, from the Cosy Christmas Paper pack, with a generic stamp edge rectangle die. I mounted the image rectangle onto the red card using PVA glue to get a strong bond, and set it aside to dry.

To decorate my 5″×7″ card base, I cut some of the dark green stars patterned paper, again from the Cosy Christmas paper pack with Sue Wilson’s Noble Pierced Rectangles dies and added it to my card base. I thought the green looked a little too plain so I printed and cut a piece of diagonally striped paper, again part of the Cosy Christmas paper pack, down to fit just inside the die cut green piece. I glued it into place and added the feature Moose piece to the bottom right corner, leaving the top of the card to add a large sentiment.

To really make a feature out of the sentiment, I die cut Winnie & Walter’s “merry” word die out of yet another of Cosy Christmas’ papers, this time using the fawn snowflake paper. So that this “merry” sentiment didn’t get lost in the striped background, I die cut a stitched tag, using My Favorite Things Stitched Sentiment Strips die, from the red star card and heat embossed the word “Christmas”, from an old retired stamp set, with some Wow gold embossing powder.

I adhered the tag into place and added the merry die cut word above it. I also die cut a few snowflakes, using generic dies yet again, and glued them around the card to finish the card off.

I hope this little Bugaboo Moose brings a smile while we all scamper around to get the last minute preparations done for the holiday season. Thanks so much for spending time with me today. I look forward to next time…😊
